"In December 2009, I attended the FEI Dressages Judges' Seminar at the Olympia Horse Show, London. The seminar was given by top international judge Dr. Dieter Schule from Germany. It was a wonderful occasion to see top riders competing and to witness the record breaking performance (again!) of the magnificent Moorlands Totilas with Edward Gal in the saddle, achieving the result of 92.300% !!! Sally Amsterdamer is training to be an F.E.I International Dressage Judge. She regularly "sits in" with top judges at International shows in order to learn more. She has participated in many judging seminars during recent years including two FEI Dressage Judges' Seminars (Minsk, Belarus 2005 and Vejer de la Frontera, Spain 2008). In the future Sally hopes to take the FEI exam in order to become a Candidate International Dressage Judge.

"At the beginning of March, 2008 I attended the FEI Dressage Judges Seminar in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, at the venue of the Sunshine Tour. It was the first time such a seminar has been held there and it was well-organised and I think a success. The seminar was held by Mariette Withages and Stephen Clarke. The first day was theory and the second judging practice of a Grand Prix class. The third day was an examination for anyone wanting to upgrade their status. I myself did not take the exam as I now need to fulfill judging experience at Grand Prix level. Judges from more than 25 countries attended the seminar."

Sally was lucky to be able to sit with Francis Verbeek during the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Kur classes of the Dutch Dressage Championships 2008 at the Eindhoven Show. "Francis is always extremely welcoming and helpful and I learn more. Thanks Francis!"
